DENVER ART MUSEUM

Denver, CO

Together with the Denver Art Museum, EXP explored complex questions about the creation of art and what it means to be Native American-as well as the connections among the two. Developing a thought-provoking narrative thread that is both educational at many levels and accessible to diverse audiences, EXP used all manner of media-digital interactives, innovative art mounting, and compelling graphics-to revitalize and reinterpret the American Indian Art Gallery. Key interpretive pieces include the digital exhibit created for Jaune Quick-to-See Smith's painting "Trade Canoe for Don Quijote."
